Parking lot attendant gets sucker punched. How about requesting a look at the surveillance video while on scene instead of chalking it up to a simple battery and giving the victim a request for prosecution. Nice work. Were you intimidated because the thug claims he was a cop which is irrelevant?

By looking at the video, it is a simple battery. The protocol of handling this is to complete a report & have the victim go to the Broward State Attorney's Office to file a complaint.

Yes this is a misdemeanor exception. However, the video was not available at the time of the initial investigation. The press release mentioned this. Perhaps you skimmed through it & missed that mention. The suspect was identified at the time of the incident & there is plenty of time to file a report within the statute of limitations.

Perhaps you could anonymously go yell at the Broward State Attorney's Office as well.
