I saw on City of New Port Richey Jobs for Police Officer opening. Does NPRPD sponsor for the academy? How long is the hiring process take? Opinions on the department? Sorry for all the questions.

They have sponsored but not sure if they are now or not. We are full staffed minus a part timer but that can change. Good luck.

I heard you were going to have a few k9 positions available. I am interested in applying, but wanted to see if there was any type of probationany periods that would factor in to the possibility of obtaining a k9 position as a experienced new hire? Thank you.

Rumor is your agency has a few spots open. What's the hiring process? Does it include a PAT, written test, Poly? Officers used to share vehicles over there has that changed? Ride alongs open to the public or only applicants? Thanks,
