Perhaps you should expose how this State and the Fed Leo carry laws treats retired Leo's that left in good standing. Fully retired officers in this State would presumably be a much higher trained group of people that could intercede in mass shootings and other violent acts. Perhaps you should push for more protections of anybody that did intercede in these situations. It makes for a good sound bite but the truth is, unless someone is attacking you, why would you get involved, short of a terrorist attack. A gang banger wouldn't get charged if he shot a terrorist in a active shooter incident. Perhaps, you should stand your ground on gun free zones. Would you tell any business in your jurisdiction that prohibits guns, that your deps will not honor their restriction, or would you just tell your deps to stop going there? You got the spotlight, use it
