So called "family health insurance plan" is half of your monthly salary. No officer discretion, the administration directs the officer to arrest and un-arrest defendants as they pleased. The chief doesn't support officers and along with the police major is ready to get anyone in trouble. He recommended no salary increases, no take home vehicles, and more. The chief mandated a quota of 40 tickets a month and got everyone under investigation including suspension for any dismissed ticket. Some officers have a second job or military to survive. This is the only department that has a swiping machine to clock in and out so make sure you purchase a reliable car to commute back and forth. Unless you are single rookie or retired, you should not come here with a family because this is not a family oriented department. No maternity leave so the department expects and makes pregnant women to wear the same uniform with the belt and vest to carry out regular patrol duties such as fights, traffic stops, climbing a fence to check on a ringing house alarm, etc... No education incentives or education funds. Well, the list continues but enough was said so I want to wish you good luck with the process.

Just check out who our Chief is.
Do a background, check in his previous department, who his friends were, how many went to prison, etc.
Pure trash with no education or management background; a clueless egomaniac that had the right political connections.
You can do better in Sweetwater.

Every department has its issues... But dam Pinecrest is like that? What incentive do these officers have to give 100% when they are being treated like garbage.
