I heard you have to purchase your own firearm. If so, can anyone please advise what brand is allow within the department? (Glock, Springfield Armory, Baretta, Sig Sauer).........

You have your choice from the blue, or orange gun. Most of us go with the blue gun, since it matches our uniforms.
