I guess it was no surprise to any of us how the chief showed his lack of support for the dispatchers at the commission meeting. It sure does show us the forlorn conclusion of how he'd back any of us up if we needed him to.

First step then hopefully SSO takes us over !!!!

Thank you for your support of all the dispatchers that have given 10 to 20+ years to the City. The same fool that has been here preaching the wolf cry for a few years now. They need our support not your fairy tale wishes.

North Port is big enough that SSO dispatchers are not needed. SSO in-house politics has destroyed the Sarasota Sheriff's Office and NPPD needs to stay as far away from that as possible. NPPD is an outstanding agency to work for, but getting mixed in too deep with the SSO is an extremely bad idea.

The troll leaves us yet another message to go with the one written above that by this cave dweller. Nobody that works here wants to lose our dispatchers.

Wow! another meeting with no support to save dispatch from our leader. Might as well tell everyone you support the takeover KV.

All I have to say is that a strong leader would stand up for his agency and its needs. Enough said.

SSO is a great agency. politics are not bad as you are a number. Just because you work near a few sector patrol deputies placed as far south as they can be. Do not take the word of a few for many.

Overall, SSO is okay to work for, but the current leadership is totally unethical. The current sheriff (Knight) refused to investigate his politically appointed staff member (Locke) for allegedly getting a juvenile pregnant. Then he "went after" the whistle blower with trumped up allegations (retaliation). Under the current sheriff (Knight) you are wise to stay as far away from the SSO as possible.

Investigated by FDLE who closed as unfounded.

Investigated by FDLE who closed as unfounded.
Prove it. You cannot show any FDLE document that says "unfounded." You're a liar.

Maybe a link to the FDLE report should be provided here for NPPD employees to read? :snicker:

After the victim said that the sex began when she was a juvenile, she suddenly stopped testifying -- and she refused to cooperate and she said she would not testify in court. So the only thing FDLE had to rely on was a recorded statement from the victim stating that the sex began when she was a juvenile, which isn't enough to proceed forward in a criminal trial. Courtroom testimony is needed. Also, Locke's roommate (an officer) testified that he saw Locke romantically "cuddling" with the child on their sofa. Sicko!

NPPD has it good right now. Don't ruin it with SSO in-breeding and SSO politics.
