What type of shifts to do you guys work?? 12's? Are there detail and OT opportunities available? Thanks.

We work 12 hour shifts rotating every other weekend off. There is definitely overtime on the road and extra duty details. However you gett 1099 at the end if the year for those extra duty details. We contribute 8% to our pension, our step plan has been frozen for the last four years and we've been forced to take one furlough day (1 Day off a month with no pay) for the last four years. The good news is that we just switched unions and are now with the PBA and about to start contract negotions with the city. Hopefully we'll get a pay raise and no more furloughs.

Any news on the new hires? Placed an application in on the last go around and haven't heard anything or received any updates. 2+ years LEO
