So, on BSO's blog it says Margate is signing with BSO in 2014. The Sun-Sentinel is suppose to run a story about it. Wonder if there is any truth to that...

Its true, I was at the meeting. Its almost a done deal just waiting on a few small details to work out. Hang tight better money and benfits coming soon.

Here is a story about Margate PD that recently occurred. It's actually not a story it's a fact. An officer for the city of Margate, also the son of a k-9 officer that works for the Margate PD was involved in an incident that occurred in Margate and ended up in Coconut creek. It began as theft at a store. The subject left the area in a vehicle. While the subject vehicle was leaving the margate officer lied and said he was run over and hit by the subjects car. Approx. an hour later, while fresh pursuit no longer existed, obtained an address to where the subject may have lived. The Ofc from Margate PD that was said to be injured, saw the subject's vehicle in the driveway of the residence. The Ofc. then went to the rear and pried open the sliding glass door along with other Margate PD officers. They unlawfully entered the residence without a warrant, searched the residence, threatend an occupant of the home to give up the subjects whereabouts or be arrested. The margate officer.... Son of a margte k-9.... Found the subject in a closet. The margate officer then taserd the subject. The margate ofc., son a of k-9 officer in margate pd....was fully exonerated of any wrong doing and the investigation was covered up by a bald Lt., which is the k-9 officer and his son's BFF,The bald Lt. is on a night shift right now. This is public record.... Check it out. FDLE please go to Margate to clean it up!!!!!

This is another important fictitious administrative lie that occurred in the City of Margate. A female Lt. And a male Sgt. Completely made this incident up These supervisors made up a story that a senior officer kicked a subject that was already in handcuffs. The truth is that they punched and kicked the subject while in handcuffs but never documented the force they used. These supervisors were over heard saying lets Blame that f-ing spic. Who will our admin believe us or him. He saw us hit the subject and we are gonna make sure we blame him in case he complains on us. Administration likes when we discipline the officers and will promote us to a higher rank when the opportunity is presented. The female Lt. said that when she is captain she will make sure she promotes the male Sgt. to Lt. If he agrees that he saw the same incident occur. This senior officer never kicked anyone and documented force as force was used and documented on one of the subjects. Both the female Lt. And make Sgt. Tried to have charges filed on this senior officer. The Lt. began an investigation that involved the Coral Springs Police Department. Each Ofc. That was involved in the apprehension of these armed robbery suspects were interrogated at the demand of the margate female Lt. Each officer noted that they were not aware and did not see any excessive force used by anyone on scene. This senior officer accused continually denied any wrong doing and refused to implicate the female Lt. and male Sgt. as the police officers that used excessive force. Administration did not have enough evidence to fire the senior officer and he was disciplined to the highest extent that is allowed without being able to grieve the discipline. The subject implicated the female Lt. and male Sgt. As the 2 officers that beat him up but neither supervisor was disciplined as the subject was paid to keep quiet about the incident. An official investigation never took place although a male captain took several sworn taped statements that exonerated the Senior Ofc. of any wrong doing. This is just one of many corrupt incidences that have occurred recently in the City of Margate. I emplore FDLE to seriously look into these facts as the abuse of power needs to be stopped!!

BSO is loosing cities....Cities are jumping ship. Stay away from BSO under the current Admin.

It's called posturing........It's been threatened many times before and only happened once with Lauderhill.

BSO is taking over for sure......DISPATCH!!!! is what is being taken over. BSO will run 3 dispatch centers and Margate and Coconut Creek are going to be dispatched by BSO on the same channel from the new center in Coconut Creek. This is to happen sometime within the next few weeks. There is nothing on the table for a department merger.

We will see, when the Condo commando's get their way again
and refuse to pay their fair share of property taxes like they always do.

How much more can he city keep raising our health insurance and keep off setting our pay increases.

BSO pays $ 0.00 for their insurance and they make a hell of a lot more than we do.
