BOYCOTT HEAT GAME FOR MPD. 3-10-2013

Our brothers in Miami are asking we don't work on March 10th.

Apparently our fat chief told Miami he would send us to make 32 an hour like slaves while the city cops are making 45-60 an hour at calle coho. They've asked for us not to work the event. I don't think we should prostitute ourselves for the sake of making a little cash. Stay united guys.

Im not going. We will look like sellouts and whores if we take the job for 32 while everyone else makes 15 bucks more an hour

Remember brothers and sisters, off-duty details are performed on a volunteer basis. Management cannot compel you to work during your days and/or off hours; should they; it is a call out; paid at overtime rate. You non-paid part-time police officers must support this initiative; otherwise you will be forever known as . . .

I am a part time officer and will not give in. I hope to one day be part of a large agency like this and wouldn't want outside agencies to get involved.
