Reserve Officer Program

Very good that FAU has a Reserve Officer Program now,however if they would like to attract very qualified cerificed people they should follow Broward Sheriffs Ofiice/others lead in paying their fully sworn Reserves a min. pay of 11.00 a hour or more.Many people are now retiring from full time status that will be Reserves.But the Agencies that pay some basic pay will get the most people.I for one ,with 28 years as a LEO (20 as Lt.)with a large police agency would concider FAU,however not w/o some comp.to cover expencies.Tryed it once with other State Agency for 3 years,cost me lots of money.Moving from Broward to PB soon and I and many friends,who are Fl.Certificed will be looking at the FAU Reserve Program if some pay is offered.....

Just a friendly thing for FAU Police Command to think about....

Why would they pay reserves anything when they don't even pay their officers enough? It isn't worth the heartache. Take it from someone who is stuck here with no other options. Find employment elsewhere.
