EOD opening

Saw an EOD slot open on PF a bit back, why don't you fill slots like these from within? I would think it would be like a special unit transfer. Or is it a crap gig?

The position is advertised to us first, but not everyone is willing to move or deal with the extra work.

I wouldn't call it a crap gig, but it does require more from you, with no extra pay that's worth anything (if any at all). Our EOD guys are still primarily fire investigators, with the added duties and requirements for EOD.

Did they ever fill this position?

It will be filled as soon as HR approves all paperwork.

So that means someone was picked? Darn... oh well, there is always beauty school.

Called and spoke with Lt. "_", said decision hasn't been made yet. Don't know what they are waiting for.
