palm beach sheriff office takes over boynton beach pd

While doing research on a department that I would have like to work for. I realized the Boynton Beach might just lose their police department. Even-though the spike in violent crimes have seem to have taken over the city. Palm Beach Sheriff's office offered Boynton a deal but, all of the current Boynton officers will have to apply to PBSO. I would like to know everyone's feelings about this take over.
