View Full Version : Parallel work environment

I was wondering why there is a parallel work environment here? Why is there selective punishment distributed? How can an assistant chief take a lunch break at a strip club on duty in a city vehicle using city gas and there are no repercussions? What if the secenario was with a patrolman? Would they expect to be suspended or terminated? How can this leadership expect to be taken seriously by its subordinates? What an obvious double standard exists here. This is so pathetic, and not at all shocking that in arguably, the worst economic / employment downturn we have ever experienced officers are quitting and looking for other jobs. This brass should be mortified about this incident....

Do your job the right way and you have nothing to worry about. Stop *****ing and blogging like a teenaged girl and grow up.

Haha text book example of our brass.. "the beatings will continue until morale improves" we have circus clowns for brass and now, finally the public gets to read about it. Talk about making the chief look bad.

Welcome to Hollywooooooood.

This is not supposed to be something you see as a young road officer. You are supposed to be blind and do what you are told. Oh, and believe everything your bosses tell you while they distract you from the games.

Yup, you work in a place with more uniformed gangbangers than the hills of pakistan. Dont feel bad though. It is the entire county. If you want to be away from this, move to another part of the state.

Hollywooooooood has been corrupt a lot longer than most of the officers have been alive.

Chief you should be humiliated for being so weak and laying down to protect your asst chief for doing something stupid. Your an embarrassment to yourself, this agency and now your son will carry that with him as long as he is here. The reputation of weakness. Look no further than your asst chief for putting you in this.

WOW, Scott Isreal you and your people are so busy trying to bask Louie on here and the Broward page. Its a sign of weakness Scott, speaking of weakness, hows Ron C these days? Send him my regards. So what will you be doing after the election since you wont be the next sheriff you piece of garbage.....

Who cares about political aspirations. We have a young police department, impressionable officers. And we have an assistant chief of police who visits a strip club for lunch while on duty using city equipment and when he is caught nothing happens to him. It's a reprehensible action and a horrible example he and the chief have set. To be a leader it's times like this when hard decisions have to be made, otherwise you project weakness. And that's what has happend here, there is no going back you can't undo it. This is one of the worst displays of police leadership I have ever seen.......

No doubt, chief do something about this! Or the commission and city manager need to step in and do the chiefs job for him......

Listen you Israel punks. Stay off our site. We don't give a crap about Scott Israel or his few followers. You were the chief of a tiny security agency (North Bay Village PD) and you got run out of there. You got no business talking about corruption with your background. We do real police work here son.

And Wads...why don't you concentrate on getting us our pensions and DROP back instead of being Marano's lap dog.

Screw Israel, and all the politics and lets get back to the point of this parallel work environment, two sets of rules for two classes of officers, either ur in or ur out. I wanna know what would have happened if an officer or sgt did what an asst chief did?

Let's be realistic. This topic does nothing to help the police department and you know it. It is all about self interests.

When u say "you" who are u talking about? Because the entire rank feel that there two standards. The reality is is that this topic does nothing to help the brass at this police department. Because they adhear to a different set rules and that is the problem.

I noticed worms in my dog's stool. Can anyone recommend a good vet?

The chief put it all on the line for the asst chief. City car, City time at a strip joint. The chief looked bad by not doing anything in front of the cops, commissioners, mayor and manager and the boy lost the race. Talk about 2 bad decisions and poor leadership! So if anyone wants to have lunch at a strip joint go ahead just tell the chief you are running for office, its all bout the politics.
