Tip Soft

On December 16th, the CGPD will begin accepting information/communication from the public via text. The program called Tip Soft will allow people to contact our Communications 9-1-1 Center via text. Operators will receive and evaluate the information provided and take appropriate action. Operators will have the ability to correspond with the person texting and will solicit additional information as needed. Our policy will be to treat information received by text as if it was provided by someone speaking on the telephone or notifying us in person, and operators will act accordingly directing resources or forwarding information in keeping with current protocols.
