When would the C be able to promote from this list anyway? There is no vacancy. Sgt. is staying until next spring for some sort of insurance reason (or whatever) However, he has made it clear that he will submit his letter prior to the list ending.

I thought this thread deserved a "bump" back to the top since the C is now openly telling people that BD WILL BE the next sergeant. This is going to happen and it's truly amazing. However, my suggestion (albeit, a crazy one) is to not complain about it. There's nothing that can be done. NOTHING. We must all grin and bear it since she's his choice and she's protected. Why is she so protected. WHY?!

Promotional ceremony was packed, standing room only. lots of BD well wishers, Social afterwards at Duffys was also packed.

Well no, I did not make it. No I will not try again. Why, well first of all, I am going in the drop April 1st. Second, I have the best job in the PD. Sad, but I guess there are some in the pd that are not my friend. But, thats ok, I still try to help each officer when I can and thats satisfaction enough for me. So, if your my friend, I thank you. If not, thats ok too. I will still do all I can.

So,while I am involved with vehicles and equipment,I will continue to fight for better equipment, better vehicles and whatever else to help officers on the road.
