Contract Question

Over in Lee County, our sheriff has been posing the story about your latest contract as proof that we should vote no on getting a union. Right now we work without a union and have been without raises for over four years.

If any of you wanted to drop in on our forum page and share your thoughts on your union or on working in law enforcement without a union at all, please feel free.

I live in nyc and work as a correction officer for the city of new york.I'm in my 4th yr.
I have a union benefits etc in this job.

I wanted to move out of nyc before I hit my top pay to work for any police agencies in st luice county or surrounding areas...any suggestions.I'm currently 26 and I know the training you have to pay out of your own pocket.
I know the school costs money but theres no job gaurantee and I don't want to work for really low money like in a supermarket etc until they call me?!
