What happened to all the Hype about B. Grove???? He's a good guy but he deserted the S.O... He told the Paper that it was for insurance reasons, and the truth is that he saw $$$$'s.... I have worked with him closely and bottom line, we are not ready for him as well as he is not ready for Sheriff.. There is a lot more to it than just getting elected... He was not proactive on the streets, what makes you think he will be procactive as Sheriff.. Bottom line, Sheriff BP has done his best with what he has, lets see any of us take on the task as Sheriff for one week, it's not just about sitting behind a desk and going to meetings. Be lucky you have a job and are still getting a pay check, no matter how small it may be, their are others that don't even have that.. We all came into this job to help people and attempt to make things better to some degree, not for the Money...

WOW where to start......."be lucky you have a job" thats sounds like this administrations attitude. "He deserted the SO" so he should stay like the rest of the herd and continue to be beat down and not provide for his family....another attitude of BP and this administration. Maybe BP was doing his best when he demoted one of the two homicide Detectives for expressing an opinion, and TS decided to retire rather than go back to patrol....was that the Right thing at the right time for the right reason....always.....was it BP. Not only will BP no have our support...we know he does not support us...the deputies. I think Sheriff BP has done his best too.....it's just not good enough. The only people at the Sheriffs Office who still support BP are Captains and above and they should......because when BG becomes Sheriff they will be gone. Be careful you evil deputies who want to pay your bills and provide for your family....believe me thats how BP and this administration feel about you. WHAT? You just answered your own post...If he left the Sheriff's Office to make more money it is because he couldn't support his family and children on the salary and health benefits he was receiving from MCSO. It shows he cares when he returned back to Monroe to work. He resigned with dignity because he did nothing wrong. It's a shame when your own Deputies have to seek secondary employment just to make ends meet. We are risking our lives on each call to serve and protect and a secretary who is employed by the Sheriff's office makes over double what the Deputies make and she hides behind a typewriter.....What does that tell you?

Be glad you have a paycheck? That is the typical brass mentality while they sit back and push paperwork and go home early in their nice big homes which they can afford.

People open your eyes. This needs to change and this agency needs to start running like a real law enforcement agency. Bring back the morale and bring back that feeling of wanting to go to work everyday so the want to be proactive and make a difference in the community becomes second nature when you start your shift. New Sheriff = Better pay = Morale = proactivity = safer communities! Not that difficult to figure out....What has BP done to boost the morale and retain these Deputies? NOTHING! What changes has BP made to improve the image of MCSO? NONE! What specialized units has BP created in order to keep the crime rates down inthe Keys? NONE! Why isn't their more Marine Units? Why isn't their more K9 Units? Why does Broward County have more Marine Units than Monroe County? We are the ones surrounded by bodies of water and have the highest drug smuggling activity? THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HUMMMMMMM!

BP may have had good intentions going into this but something happened and it seems like someone has something on him because the moment he was elected nothing changed and that's because brass from the prior administration remained right where they started with the previous administration.......

We need a good fresh change for MCSO and someone who can finally return the awesome reputation that MCSO earned years ago!!!

I'd say give BG a chance......

Good luck, and beware what you wish for.... If BP could not get any money from the C.C, what makes you think BG could?? LC or RR will be the next Sheriff... Don't waste your time and Money BG....

LC and RR will turn this place around? They are the problem ...RR has been the problem for years and BP sold out to Roth and RR two years ago. LC is just as bad and would change nothing and change is what this sheriffs office needs. The fact that you would even mention these two morale killing losers is funny. Roth BP RR and LC all have destroyed this agency. Deputies are afraid to do anything because The sheriff RR or LC will threaten to transfer demote or fire them. This administration threatens and intimidates deputies and they wonder why every deputy can't wait to get out. And know they want to give lt's and up a five percent raise The sheriff brags about giving deputies a three percent raise two years ago. And a two percent raise this year. But he fails to mention the FOP had to take the them to impasse. The sheriff probably spent more tax payer Money on attorneys to fight the raise than the cost of the raise. that's the right thing at the right time. For the right reason bob? Bob's administration is poisoned and they all need to go.
