Any ideas? Any insiders? I see the job was posted.

Most likely another puppet with a criminal background.

Whoever the chief may be, if the current administration has their way, their decision making would go something like this. :)

So...Share your wisdom and wishes...

What qualities do you want in your next chief?

Keep in mind a few things before you answer...

The next chief is a political appointee. It doesn't matter what qualifications this person has on paper. It's this person's ability to sell a bill of goods to a long time elected official who will want to ensure that as far as the police department is concerned, the chief will carry the vision and banner of the person who really calls the shots. What does that mean for the future?

Despite the uniform and the badge, the next chief will never be one of the brotherhood. The chief has to look at this from two angles...

1) The contract has provisions included within that will prevent the chief from taking bold action to correct the current circumstances that lead to corruption. Instead of "due process", there is "do process" that totally dictates the manner in which promotions, assignments, disciplinary actions and working relationships evolve. Even in a department as small as Golden Beach, the chief can't take the immediate and decisive actions required to change the paradigm because of the contract.

2) It doesn't matter if the next chief is local or from far away. As long as there are five catagories of police officers continuing to work in the department, nothing will be accomplished.

a) Cop-outs: Won't commit to doing their part.
b) Hold-outs: Want to wait and see what happens
c) Drop-outs: Will quit if the going gets tough.
d) Hide-outs: In so deep they can't change and are hoping like hell they won't get caught.
e) All-outs: Will pay the price and be able to hold their head up. There is no better credibility than conviction in action.

The new chief won't be able to come and "run in the middle of the road". Doing so means being run over.

One last thing, you guys work in a town of nice, wealthy folks who have a envious lifestyle to be sure. This town stands in the shadow of a large city of temptation. Its difficult to turn your back to temptation. Pride, envy, greed, lust, wrath, and gluttony, all lead to sloth. Slothful attitude, conduct, ethics...

How do you expect the new chief to deal with that?

How many applicants did the Town receive? Other than the obvious ones from the locals, are there any real stand-outs?

Why so much interest on who will be the new chief. It is Captain Jaundice Turd. Have you heard of him?

Here is a picture of Captain Jaundice Turd. :)

Looks like we are down to the final three;
Don Delucca
Carlos Noriega
Allen Siegel (after Robert Montagano backed out of the race)

God help the individual selected as the new Chief to find the intestinal fortitude to stand up for what is right and once and for all rid this town of the plague of corrupt cops that were employed here by the current administration. There is no room here for rapists, wife beaters, thieves, drug addicts and drunks. It's time for a fresh start and that includes a new town manager as well. Luckily they weremintelligent enough to realize that the interim chief carries his own baggage and has no business as a chief of police, or even a police officer for that matter.

As much as the scumbag criminals that still work here protecting the taxpayers they were robbing blind would like that to happen, it won't. Bye, bye Herby. Your days here are numbered.

Prison is going to be a tough transition.

Your new Chief comes from Miami Beach, good luck,

Chief Delucca has a great opportunity to make something of GBPD. The residents deserve it, and the officers too.

Congrats Chief DeLucca.....

Don't trust him !

Yea, you should have seen his interview! It looked like a T.V sitcom; he had the perfect answer for EVERY question.. Hmmmmmmmm!

I’m sure he will buy a villa next to the Mayor and Town Attorney so they all can go skiing together…

He’s a Puppet and that’s all there is to it, if he don’t do what the puppet master says he’s wont last long!

He’s a Puppet and that’s all there is to it, if he don’t do wthe questions with answers to the Sghat the puppet master says he’s wont last long!

He had the perfect answers for every question because the questions were given to him days prior to the oral board interview. This clown was hand picked for the position well before the interview by the current corrupt administration. The other candidates never had a chance. All what Delucca would ever be here is another clown on strings.

They gave Delucca the questions for the oral board just like the time they gave Peters, Paez, Vila, and company the questions with answers to the Sgts test. Their plan was to keep Miles from getting the position...well, we all know how that ended up. I remember Vila kept using the excuse of going to the restroom because his stupid a$$ couldnt remember the answers...lol

This place is a joke and will always be until that feather duster of a town manager gets removed from office.

Peluca brought pink slips to give out to everyone during the holidays.

Peluca and the walking rainbow answers to Glen Comepingon. With this said, the administration will be using Peluca for the dirty job of giving out pink slips to the ones in the media spotlight, and the ones that caused trouble to the town. This stradegy doesnt make the TM look like the bad guy. In return, they make the media believe that the department got rid of the troublemakers, but in reality the administration will be bringing in fresh meat with questionable background.

Enjoy your last few paychecks because the time is near...
