I HEAR THAT THE CHANGES ARE COMING?

GIVEN THE VOICE AND OP, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE CHANGED HERE A SPD?

I KNOW SEVEAL STAFF THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE GO!

THE MONEY THAT IS TAKEN FROM OUR POCKETS AND GIVEN TO POWER SQUAD GIVEN BACK TO US?

NOT HAVING TO LOOK OVER OUR BACKS ON EVERYTHING WE DO WHEN WE ARE DOING OUR JOB WOULD BE GREAT?

ACTUAL LEADERSHIP, NOT BS READ OUT OF A BOOK OR WEBSITE WOULD BE NICE?

It is rare I read this horrible forum; even rarer still that I'd actually post a response or thread.

However, I'm willing to put myself out here. Frank, 159, that's me. Call me, ask me in passing, I'll tell you that I absolutely am responsible for what I am about to type.

Everyone has their own nitpicks, and their own picks on who they believe "should go" as far as officers and above are concerned. Anyone and everyone is subjected to that by any other individual. Including you, whomever anonymously started this. I have some bizarre thought that you are probably "one of those officers" I'd openly say I do not want to be my 94 in paradise because I need people whom I'd know would jump right in when all hell breaks loose.

The money that is taken from your pocket? And given to us? You have no idea. I'm rollin' in the dough. Sad fact is, I'm just like you, as is everyone else on the power squad. We haven't received a raise in years, while employees at the casinos have received raises and bonuses greater than ours. Simple fact is that they "generate" money while we deal with the issues the casino and its property creates. They "deserve" it more than us. Sucks, doesn't it? Work for the county or a city where you'll be on the cut-list in six months.

I did not leave a lucrative I.T. career where I would be making an excess of $100,000 a year and expect to be high-paid, taken care of, and appreciated. I joined a field of work where I knew I would not be appreciated except by those whom I work beside. I knew I'd never get rich, regardless the amount of overtime I could get in. I've learned to live by my paycheck and within the means of my base salary, and not rely on overtime, and details. Why haven't you?

I do not look over my back when I do my job. I am not afraid to arrest a random at the hard rock, a seminole on the west side, or a "regular high-roller" customer at the coconut creek casino who claims he will have my job. Why am I not afraid? Because I know how to do my job and I do it right and I don't question my actions because I still have integrity and honesty.

Why do you question your own actions?

People are banking on James Billie getting chairman, and him bringing back Tiger. That's fine. Latchford or Tiger I won't do my job any differently, I won't complain any more or less. Would I like a raise after three years of not receiveing one? Absolutely. Will not receiving one stop me from doing my job? Absolutely not.

Look at me and accuse me of "taking your money," by all means. I'll let you know what the rest of SPD thinks of you, and I'll tell you what I think of you. It does not matter who is chief and who is your captain or lieutenant; the important questions are simple and few: will you write an honest supplement, and will you have my back in a fight? Because that is all that I give a damn about from the officers I work with.

Like before you were ordered on the power squad and complained when they made you. As always I have had your back, but i do remember when you were one of the guys like me always working details, getting dirty and report writing when others did not want to.

I, along with many here want CHANGE ! Latchford and his goone squad has alone taken alot from us and this agency, they go to all the good schools, to make thier files look great in case they HAVE to leave this agency. Promotes his friends and buddies, and talks down to us.

When we worked for Charlie, ask anyone and other agencies, SPD ran like a real agency, Will ran out many good people from here,

facts show- when he came, How many Captains, officers, LT's, Sgt's, has he messed up here, Granted some were deserved I will say that, but MANY-MANY- were done very wrong, cant hide that.

I know your a good officer, the title was not intended to mess with the fellow brother- :cop:

Just what kind of changes if you had the POWER would you make? You hit the key word POWER. They get a little power and think they are smart. Will's GPA was about 2.0 at best and could not pass the FHP testing. He has nowhere to go when he leaves here. If he is not wanted he should leave. The tribe is also seeing this.

Things id like to see change or GO!

Hello Brother and Sisters

If I had the power to make the changes to SPD. The first thing I would do is trust all of your judgments. I would stop trying to ruin people's careers with the bogus IA investigations and even after they would leave, I would stop bad mouthing them to other agencies. Funny how I was told to never take nothing personal in this field, but I guess “Do as I say, not as I do" is a truth saying.

You see, what some leader forget is that THE OFFICERS MAKE UP THE DEPARTMENT!!!!! THEY ARE THE FOOT SOLDIER, THEY WIN THE BATTLES. THE GENERAL DOSENT, HE STANDS THERE BARKING ORDERS. SIMPLE MATH FOLKS... HAPPY OFFICER+ HAPPY WORKING ENVIROMENT = GOOD MORAL AND BETTER OVERALL RESULTS.

I also would praise my Officers and stop berating them on the way they patrol the reservations, instead I would lead by example.

Last but not least I would fight to bring in FRS or something similar to that effect. Because well the question is, how many Seminole Police Officers Retired last year or the year before???

But anyways….

Will, I never have wished you anything bad to you or your command staff. I just hope that you don’t ever go through what you and your command staff put me through. Remember this "We want to wish you good luck in the future".

I too never wish ill will on anyone, Id just like to give them the same THINGS they gave to me and still dish out.

Its funny how they write a few streched words, make up false things then add it to your file. At the end of the day they truely feel that they have done nothing wrong.
