You know who is back to you know where. It's a great start to 2011 and we've all been blessed again. 24 more months of job security and simply the best leadership in police work. Guys, things like this just dont happen. This is like winning the LOTTO twice.

He never left. Did anyone actually see his office empty? This was all a scam. The police department couldn't stand Rick Conners. The Chief "retired" and the city conducted a search for a new Chief. When Clint Shannon was hired he was told by Conners to get rid of certain persons within the police department. Most people in the department would agree that at least one of them Conners wanted out would have been a significant morale booster. Chief Shannon, being the class act he is, told Conners in a very politically correct way to take the Chief's job and shove it. The city got word of Conners' actions and gave him the option to leave on his own or the hard way. Chief Maas came out of "retirement" and now we have another two years of the same old thing. Sad, very sad.

you are right about C Shannon.. he is a class act and stood up for whats right, he always has ! You hit the nail on the head exactly!

Why is getting Maas back a bad thing? Nobody can seem to answer that. Also, answer what would of been different w shannon? How would he of made it a better place? Then tell me how you know this for a fact? Maas cares about his people. No matter what decisions he makes, not everyone will agree with everything he does. Be happy he's back and not some hired gun by Conners to make us pay for toilet paper and electricity at the station. Dont be so ignorant.
