View Full Version : Termination: Fair or not?? You decide!

[b]With all the craziness of the new regime out at the land of Milk & Cookies a recent development has come to the forefront. The termination of a supervisor, presumably, one that for many years has had the reputation of being fair-minded, goal-oriented, and a leader of people, has left some unanswered questions floating about in the mirky waters of the old trail. Why was this person demoted? Was he demoted? Was it a demotion that was requested by the sergeant himself, and if so why? Let there be no mistake, the Turtle has no morals, scruples, or integrity; but in all fairness to those left behind (officers) the true story needs to be exposed.
Why was the sergeants vehicle impounded and processed? Could it be that some illegal/improper use of the department car lead to this action? Could it be that the actions of this supervisor involving the use of his patrol vehicle concluded that such evidence was being sought to confirm an allegation? Only the people left on the trail know the story, or parts of the story.........again, there is no love-lost between this writer and the Turtle, but the truth is the only factor which stands on its own merit!
INTEGRITY by definition is a constant, if you are a person of integrity, then you are a person of integrity ALL THE TIME!! The profession of which you are all a part of calls for the self-control, self-determination, and self-will constraints that most jobs find foreign. You can work for the worst department in the world, but if you can walk away from it, knowing in your heart that you've maintained your integrity......you are the winner!
There are some strong details floating about as to an allegation made involving this supervisor and the spouse of a Micco employee that began this entire episode. The allegation involved this Sgt. and the spouse of the Micco employee, and their alleged physical liasions during their work-outs at a local gym. Could it be that the Turtle had reason to believe that the relationships carried over to this supervisors work time and maybe even some sordid behavior inside the patrol vehicle??
Whatever the case may be, and only you that are left behind can comment on this; if this was the case, then the Turtle had every right to take the actions he took; remember, integrity by mere definition is a constant. If you are a person of integrity today, but fail tomorrow, by defintion you cannot and will not be a person of integrity!!!
