On August 15th, 2007, following a DUI Checkpoint in Brandon, Sgt. Ron Harrison of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was murdered at the intersection of Kings Avenue and Lumsden Road. Sgt. Harrison devoted over 30 years to serving his community, both in and out of uniform.
The 4th Annual “Ride for Ron” will be held on November 13th, 2010. We will be meeting in the parking lot of the USF Sundome, and stands up will be at 3:00pm. This will be a “Fun Ride”, with no registration fee. Representatives from MADD will be on site, and donations will be accepted to benefit their organization at the request of Ron’s family. Please join us to honor a fallen hero.
