Would Delray hire a cop from another department that was fired, but still has his certification? Was cleared by State Attorney's office in Broward Cty, but lost my arbitration. I was ratted out by fellow deputies after a bailout and fired for violating the use of force policy. No injury and suspect never made a complaint. Just curious?

Can't say that anyone who posts on this site would have the right answer for you, only their personal agenda or opinion. Right now we do not have any positions to fill and the application process is closed. Expect to see something after 10/01/10 in the new budget year, if anything happens at all.

As far as your issues, just put in an application, list the reasons and tell the truth during the poly and the background! Everything else will fall into place on it's own.

Good luck!!

While I was reading the posts on this forum I came across numerous replies like yours. What exactly do you mean? What's their reputation in the County?

DBPD is a very reputable agency.

I would think the previous poster either was arrested by DBPD, terminated or just a moron!

How is Delray Bch PD? I put in an application recently since you are hiring. I see that Delray Bch is not a large department, but any info would help. Thanks and be safe.

Does anyone know how many open positions DBPD is hiring? How long is the hiring process? Some agencies take 6-8 months and other even faster depending on how bad they need personnel and also how quickly they can process their applicants?

Thanks for all responses.
