I didn't realize that Battery on a Deputy now qualified as a "joke" instead of a crime. Is this really the type of training HCSO is promoting? Are deputies really being asked to make themselves the center of a joke instead of making an arrest?

Machete murders in Uganda? Let's look at that statement. There have been over 360,000 murders in the USA over the past 20 years. An average of 70% of them are commited using a Firearm. That number then is around 250,000 firearm murders in 20 years. Is this deputy saying that have been over 250,000 machete murders in Uganda over the past 8 months? Even "statistically" speaking, there would have to have been more than 27,000 machete murders in Uganda over the past 8 months. An internet search could not find any information to confirm this statement. (statistics gathered from US Department of Justice, FBI, Department of State, and Wikipedia)

It would seem the HCSO training deputy's information and techniques on how to respond to a crime against a deputy are the same... a joke.

I guess this training information came from a book because we all know it did not come from actual experience.
