Seriously ! ? ! ? :o
Now JG as the new motorman over RC and/or DK ?!?! This is like a bad dream you can't wake up from. Apparently, 14-day suspensions, sub-par productivity, etc, is the way to get promoted/transfered around these parts....
JG isn't even a ki$$-@SS, so you can't compare him to the LT's that got promoted. But the dude can't even be considered to be compared to RC or DK in terms of honest police work and productivity, so what does this tell you? Does the guy even have a motorcycle endorsement? One guy he beat out does, who by the way is a former Deputy, Sgt., Narc Sgt., etc, with more experience than this guy is old; and DK who, if he needed a reason to complain certainly has one now, but has busted his butt everyday despite what goes on here. HE was a Cpl with PBSO, and ALSO has more experience that JG.
Is this selection of JG also part of the chief's "new direction" he wants the PD to go...rewarding slugs, complainers, rats, and keeping honest, hardworking cops in place with NO hope or thought of having their hard work rewarded. (Sorry KV and FS) :(

JG, seriously? Sgt. PG, my heart goes out to you. And its not over yet kids. There's still a CIU, SET, and the infamous SGT's list still to fill. Sheeeeesh!

No need to turn this into a bash off.....keep it simple and professional. Terms of experience, capability, and work ethic, it was no contest. They mad a poor choice, but that is something they can figure out on their own.

Sounds like "seriously" is one of those people that just hates life! Probably one of those people that has no respect for all the personnel in a PD including non-certified personnel. I will give you this, there are mean, horrible, and digusting people in this world including at police departments all over; but, there are also good, intelligent, BRAVE human beings in this world that would save your ass! Lets hope this world can see you as the second person described! I wish only the very best and safest world for all PD personnel everywhere, including "seriously" even though you sound like someone that needs a little something to go right in your life.
Thank you to all the brave men and women out there risking your lives and thank you to all the police personnel that make the police departments happen!

To hmmmm:
Read Seriously's message again, because it doesn't seem like he/she hates life. You, however, seem to either NOT work for this department, or one of those that are mentioned in a not-so-bright fashion (which would also explain your response).
How about addressing what Seriously typed, instead of getting on your podium. How do YOU feel about the promotions/tranfsers so far? Anyone with 5 years of experience or more would love to set you straight, or at least show you reality. Pull personell files and see who measures up to who. There was no bashing, just reality-based comparing, which you missed. Speaking of bashing, Seriously was only spekaing his/her mind when you attacked him/her with your tear-eyed, "thin blue line" sentiment. Maybe for the fact the the author is a good law enforcement officer and he/she cares that much about what goes on in their department speaks to the passion he/she has. But your eg-driven mind could look past that. Its time for everyone to see what's going on and call bu11 $hit when it is. Obviously our Union can't help, so its up to us.
Or, Hmmm and Seriously should get together and organize what would be best for this place. Everyone take care of each other, cause its all we have.

Wake up people Mann will keep doing what he is doing because he has no real Police background!! Remember he is from FDLE and we all know they aren't a real Police Department! Too bad it will keep going down hill and get even worse! Besides the C.M. Dave is our real Chief and he is taking care of all his boys and girls!!! AA is the a real joke and yes he does go out drinking and eating with the Chief and his wife! That should tell you something about Mann's judgement! That says it all.
