It has been alleged that Frank Fernandez is talking contract with the city of Coral Gables. If so, you folks are FUBAR. Timoney, the outsider, got an 80% vote of no confidence. The "homeboy" got 85%. Example of the great changes in SOP's under the boy king as he is lovingly called, have to carry two pens, instead of one and a REFILL FOR IT. That is one of the benign SOP changes. Good luck, hope for your sake this allegation is BULLSHlT. All my dealing with Gables finest over the years have been positive and professional. But, God help you if it is true.

City cop rookie are you trying to mislead you brothers and sisters in Blue? Here we go, truth be told, you woke the sleepy dragon. I have more time on the toilet at MPD than you have at MPD. 85 % of membership OR 85% of your 200 voters? The voters were mostly by absentee ballots of retiree voters which the union hand carried scaring them with the COLA. This common practice at MPD and the FOP. In a department of 1200 and several hundred retirees that number represents about 85% of 10 % of your membership and mostly retirees who did not serve under FF. The true number is around 8%, the silence of many in your highly published attempt speaks volume. The GREAT Majority of your membership did not support your little game because they saw it for what it was. Everybody knows your agenda against JT and FF was politically motivated to get your FOP VP a position as an Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police which took place shortly after the changing of the guard. Plus your unsuccessful attempt to name Major M. Orosa as Chief of Police by the Mayor. Orosa, Pablo Camacho (Chief of Staff for Mayor Regalado) and the FOP president were all partners in the Street Narcotics Unit and were suspended for the beating death of a Puerto Rican drug dealer named Leonard Mercado. Camacho was found guilty and served Federal Prison time. Furthermore, they believed their friendship with Camacho would deliver that, unfortunately they did not count on Exposito’s connection to Armando Gutierrez the campaign manager for Mayor Regalado. Exposito’s wife worked at the campaign offices of Mayor Regalado during his run for mayor (A little political, you think?) The FOP president wants his wife employed as the City Manager of Miami. She is currently the City Manager at West Miami. The police department went from a tainted reputation of officers arrested for planting guns as evidence, lying to the FBI, US Attorney’s Office and the Public to a well respected department. SOP(s) had to be rewritten because of the abuses that took place. MPD went from shooting at every moving car they could to not firing a round off in over a year and a half and no officers hurt. That takes a change in culture and many opposed change but make no mistake it was necessary. Today MPD has a 1.6 Million dollar helicopter, $500,000 Mobile command vehicle, Armored SWAT vehicle, Multi-Million dollar training center, and its own horse stables across the street from the station and many more great advances in technology and other areas. Make no mistake this happen under FF not under the new administration or any prior. As you monitor the news at MPD you start to realize that Chief Exposito is learning it is much easier to sit on the sidelines and criticize, throw rocks and tell the politician what a great Chief you will be. As all of us have witness this has not been the case and soon his own administration will force him out. Due to a fight with his Deputy Chief L. Cabrera a contract is being worked out for Expositio’s departure before the end of the year. Exposito and Regalado with the silent FOP looking on have allowed persons like Frank Pichel to be named the chairman of the code enforcement board in the City of Miami. Pichel was an Ex- Sgt. At Arms assigned to drive the Mayor around who was arrested by IA and had to retired. How about when the FOP approached FF and promised him the Chief of Police position if he would publicly go against the Chiefs use of the Lexus. They did not count that he is not motivated by greed or politics and turn them down. That ladies and gentlemen is the reason the FOP did not support FF. Because they could not control him or get him to play their politics I know I was there and the person who carried the message for the FOP. FF is clean, I know, the FOP hired private investigators that followed, investigated and gathered NOTHING! They played politics and won the battle but in the long run the fine men and women of the Miami Police Department and the good citizens of Miami lost the war.

My vote's on the first writer. The response was written by a guy who's never heard of paragraph spacing...
