An intense search is underway to find law enforcement agents and emergency responders in the south Florida area to star in a new series on a major cable network.
Every day, all over Florida, emergency responders put their lives on the line and take heroic action to keep vacationers and party animals safe. From controlling the rowdy beach front bars to protecting swimmers from the dangerous currents and often deadly undertow of the Atlantic Ocean, there’s never a dull moment for the police, EMT’s and lifeguards assigned with protecting Florida’s beaches.
“Surf n Rescue,” a new series Thom Beers and Original Productions (the masterminds behind Ice Road Truckers, The Colony, and Deadliest Catch) want to highlight the actions of these courageous men and women. Through this up-close and personal look at all the action required in a rescue we’ll see who gets off with a warning, who goes to jail and who gets a new shot at life. Most importantly, we’ll get to know the men and women who go out every day with the mission of keeping Florida’s beaches safe for everyone. We’ll learn why they chose the job and what it’s like saving lives and protecting citizens. Even though our series will be mainly shot at the beautiful Florida coastline, we want to invite all and every law enforcement agents in the area to apply.
Who we’re looking for?
We are looking for retired, former or part-time law enforcement agents, specifically police officers (Male and Female) ages 25-50 who are mentally tough, fearless and relentless. He or she will not give up until the task is done and safety is ensured. Applicants must be available for 10 weeks in the late spring/early summer.
Pay is yet to be negotiated, but there is compensation for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
