Amway

I'm a LEO from S. FL who has been relocating my family in the Orlando area while I finish up my time down there. I just got some tickets to a concert at Amway and ticketmaster said the parking passes were all sold out. They recommended a shuttle bus which i'm not thrilled about. Is there any other parking within walking distance to the arena. If so, is there a recommended street/lot etc... I don't care if it's a paid lot, I just want it close and safe as i'll be walking two small girls. Finally, does the arena allow firearms for off-duty leo's? Some down here do and some don't. Thanks for the help.

As for the parking, I think the shutle bus is going to be your only option. The surface lots around Amway require a parking pass. I wouldn't risk leaving your vehicle in any "unofficial" lot or space as towing, especially with sold-out events is especially prevalent. Also, the area directly south and west of Amway isn't the best part of town (putting it mildly).

As for firearms: I don't know the official policy however I attended a near sold-out concert late last year at Amway while Sig 0. There were no metal detectors at that event, so properly concealed I don't see where it would be an issue. I saw a few uniformed OPD officers outside and there were several plain clothes OPD officers inside the arena.
