Hiring

I was just wondering of anyone new anything about the hiring process, read the other fourm but didn't see what I was looking for. I am schedule for a Grammar test, which is a first. How soon will I hear something after that? What will be the next step? How many Officers are they looking to hire now?

It's been a while since I was hired. They have 10 openings I hear of. The process should take about 3 months to get hired. The long parts are the background check, polygraph and psych eval.

What's the grammar test consist of?

Just a grammer and spelling test and I think a typing test is included. Not sure about the typing test. All that is done by the City of Ocala HR, not OPD. Once you're through with that your application will get forwarded to the OPD and then you will be scheduled for an interview board.

ok so will they contact you by phone or email to let you know how you did on the interview? or will they tell you right there if you totally sucked at it? lol
