CELEBRITIES ASSIST SARASOTA FIREFIGHTERS
TO RAISE MONEY FOR 10TH ANNUAL MORTON'S FIREHOUSE CHILI COOK-OFF
Sarasota, FL- The Sarasota Firemen’s Benevolent Fund have announced their plans to host the 10th Annual Morton’s Firehouse Chili Cook-Off, which will be held on Sunday November 1, 2009 from 2pm-5pm. The event will be held on Osprey Avenue between Hyde park street and Hillview Avenue in Sarasota. Over a dozen of Sarasota Fire Houses will compete against each other for the title of the “Best Fire House Chili in Sarasota” and for the Best Booth.
Every year all monies raised are donated to the Sarasota Fireman’s benevolent fund, which is a 501-3c non-profit organization. This will be the sixth year the funds raised will be allocated for a college fund for Sarasota fallen fire fighters children. Over $50,000 dollars has been allocated to the college fund managed by the Sarasota Community Foundation.
A Panel of Celebrity judges will determine the winners.

For a five-dollar ticket, the public will be able to taste all of the Fire House Chili. There will be Live Music performed by local band “My Friend Scott”, food, educational booths, A children’s Fun center with face painting, a coloring Contest, and much more.
