In one hour the AFAUSSSS Board of Directors will be replaced after two years of their unreasonable dominance in which they ignored association rules, trashed loyal members who disagreed, and held secret meetings. :shock:
Only 75 from 2600 members attend the current annual AFAUSSS conference in Memphis. Two of the BOD members did not attend! Of the seven state directors in surrounding states, only two attend, but NOT the host state director! Of the 42 eligible members from the host state of TN, only nine are there. The total group of 110 includes honorary members, spouses, guests, and HQ officials, a far cry from recent conferences that drew more than 300 people.
The general membership sighs relief that this pathetic era ends.
Hopefully the incoming Board will purge the autocratic mindset and start treating members with respect. The active duty USSS deserves the best from AFAUSSS, not a continuation of mediocrity and embarrassment. :cry:
