Retired NYPD Inspector Pete Abbott is on administrative leave from his job as the Chief in Sarasota, Florida. He is being investigated for possible witness tampering for having a detective sergeant deliver money to a possible excessive use of force victim and getting the subject to sign an agreement prior to an investigation.
