MPD is in the tank with our new leaders who are clueless. They are more concerned with taking cars away from patrol and promoting civilians to positions they have no right being in. We can’t even get cars for the people working zones but we give a new car and unlimited OT to a retired part time guy to park it at city hall. Nice job up there boys.

This sort of thing happens with every agency. People who have never made a contribution in road patrol are now telling road patrol how things will be done. Apparently they take a leadership class here and there that fill them in on how to build up morale and a good working environment, but apparently what's taught either goes in one ear and out the other or the class really sux.
The slugs or worms of every agency seem to be your best test takers. All they wanna do is stay here for 2 or 3 years and move up in rank where there's less work, and more pay. Even the most hated Officers can become the next Sergeant, Lt, or Captain simply because they test well. They might make aweful decisions, but who cares, they passed the test. This type of promotion process needs to end since it only creates a terrible working environment. Anytime a 'do nothing' is promoted, they are only promoting people to do less. Why not promote those that are not only respected by others, but have done their fair share of getting into sh!t and handling calls? Maybe then you'll have an upper echelon that will make sure you grunts have new cars when needed.

It is only going to be worse now with the A/C. I was surprised you found roll call since you never done one from the front. RB we don't care about you working on joing us with pines on the radios how about getting more people on the road to deal with all you a#& kissing at city hall you make us handle. Can I have another TR or lets post it in VBuliten what a joke and waste of money. Grow a set and show some supprort for us chief B.
