NAPLES: A Collier County man arrested for drunk driving over the weekend, apparently didn’t learn his lesson. He was back in jail the very next day on the exact same charges.

The first arrest for Kenneth McCalister happened early Friday, when Collier County sheriff’s deputies spotted McCalister’s truck hit a curb as he drove east on Immokalee Road.

Then Saturday night, he was pulled over by Naples Police.

Officers say he suddenly changed lanes along US-41, nearly causing an accident.

When they pulled McCalister over, officers say his breath smelled of alcohol. They say he also slurred his speech and even admitted he was drinking.

In the video of the incident from Saturday night, you can see him struggle to walk in a straight line as he failed several field sobriety tests.

After the first DUI, McCalister bonded out of jail at 8:30 Friday night. By 10:30 on Saturday night, he found himself right back in the same place.

"Anytime someone drives while they are under the influence, it’s dangerous. But in this case, you’ve got someone who did it once and thought it was OK to then go ahead and do it again the next day. So it’s extremely dangerous," said Officer Mike Herman with the Naples Police Department.

Even though the arrest report states that Friday night's DUI was McCalister’s fourth, we found out by law, he was still able to drive legally for up to 10 days.

"He is still legally allowed to drive at that point. He uses the ticket, the DUI citation, as his driver’s license," Herman explained.

But after his second DUI in a weekend, he’s now being held in the Collier County Jail without bond.
