Maurer a Captain?

Did anyone hear that Maurer submitted a application for one of the Captain positions? I heard Towles was going to which seems silly to me but was pretty suprised when I heard this rumor....seems out of character. I also heard Brian Miller dropped an application which I think would be a definate morale boost. Why not just promote Millich or Shultz? This admin is one confusing thing.

Maurer did not submit an application for Captain. One of the requirements is that you have experience at a Lieutenant level or above. Maurer does not meet the requirement and does not have an exaggerated opinion of himself like Towles did.

I asked Maurer. He stated he did not place an application for the position but he did laugh at the suggestion.
