Patrol deputy suspended 10 days without pay

BROOKSVILLE — A Hernando patrol deputy has been suspended for 10 days without pay and lost his take-home vehicle for six months after an internal affairs investigation into allegations that he had sex with an Orlando woman in his agency-issued car.

The internal affairs investigation, released Tuesday, found that Deputy Kevin Smith had engaged in conduct unbecoming of an officer and was in violation of the department's vehicle policy.

What is crazy is that theres no proof about sex in a patrol car.Hey sheriff and staff::::Have you ever heard that people lie to be vengeful and spiteful,escecially girls.Females,no offense cant handle there emotions so they attack the mans job,as they know they like it.Ummmm hello...wake up....its 2009 not 1980.....Just ask the krafts,keeney,Ciucci and the rest.So say I make a complaint on the sheriff or his staff and theres no proof,is he going to be suspended also???what the heck is going on???

The way I read the article is that they proved he took his SO vehicle to Orlando to meet a chick he met on-line. Isn't that enough? I agree that we shouldn't punish people for allegations not proven but isn't he lucky to still have a job?

For his part, Smith admitted to having sex one time in the car outside his house.

Nonetheless, Smith was disciplined for violating a policy that dictates the use of sheriff's office cars. An allegation of conduct unbecoming an officer was sustained for having sex in the car.

According to the hernando times,he never admitted nothing.I think its crazy if true!! :evil:
