Anyone think Sheriff Scott is above the law? Charlie Ferrante, Scott Ciresi, Dominick Ferrante, Lee Bushong, Jeremiah Marcotte - all witnesses in a huge case, and Sheriff Scott tampers with them all... What do you think will happen. And does anyone think the weakling Steve Russell will have the cajones to prosecute Scott?

Ex-sheriff gets 5½ years for witness tampering - SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP): A former Southern California sheriff has been sentenced to 5½ years in prison for tampering with a witness in his public corruption case.

U.S. District Judge Andrew J. Guilford sentenced Michael Carona on Monday near the 6½-year term that probation officials had recommended.

During the hearing, Carona thanked the judge for the opportunity to fight the charges against him.

The disgraced ex-lawman also was fined $125,000 and must serve two years of probation after his release.

Carona was indicted on sweeping public corruption charges in 2007 and stepped down from the nation's fifth-largest sheriff's department.

In January, the jury rejected the heart of the case and convicted Carona of a single count of witness tampering.

For Mike Scott to actually be held accountable and the State charge him for his wrongdoing, his people that work for him are going to have to "roll" on him for the bigger and better fish things in life. If you think for a second that all the corrupt crap is gone cause Ferrante's are gone, you are sadly mistaken. Mikey has his own corruption but his is not so "Mafia" oriented.
