Hiring Process

Hello, I wanted to what the hiring process is like for the Plant City PD?
How is the Oral Board? How long is process?

The hiring process can vary in time (1 month to 6 months) depending on what else the people involved (Staff, background investigator, etc.) have going on and if the City is allowing the department to fill vacancies.

As far as the oral board is concerned, remember that this is your time to make a good first impression on the people who will be your supervisors. Be confident but not ****y, know something about the city and the police department, and think about how you would respond to typical job interview questions. Just be prepared basically.

Once hired, there is a two week classroom training period and then 4 months of FTO.
