View Full Version : FDOT Ride-Along
Does FDOT permit civilian observer ride-alongs?
If so, what is the protocol to get one approved?
I live in Fort Lauderdale but don't see you guys very often. I'd be interested to ride for a few hours to see what your job entails.
Thank You.
All you should need to do is go to the local field office and ask to fill out the form. Addresses are on the web site.

Thank you sir I appreciate it.
I actually had trouble navigating the web site and finding the addresses.
I did find this information for District 4:
3400 West Commercial Boulevard
Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309
(954) 777-4110
This seems more like an administrative office rather than a patrol station.
Do I have the right address?
Thanks again.

I think that you will have to contact the Miami Field Office at:
MIAMI FIELD OFFICE
1000 NW 111th Avenue
Miami, FL 33172
Phone: 305-499-2298
Someone there should be able to assit you in your request. Take care.
