The headline says "Judge Severely Penalizes Secret Service for Foot Dragging in Bias Lawsuit by Black Agents"

The lawsuit alleges discrimination against blacks.

But the Service responds: "...agency statistics show black agents get promoted faster than other agents."

That was certainly my experience when I was still on active duty. Reverse discrimination?

Women seemed to be on a fast track to the top too.

During my more than 20 year career, my experience was the same as yours. I was an agent prior to there being any black or female agents. Most of them were promoted relatively rapidly compared to white agents.
