We have some of the best FTO's and it's a great place to work for.

Is there any new information on current positions/hiring?

The hiring freeze will likely be lifted October 1, but I'd suggest getting your application in now. I believe the intention is to actually hire somebody on or about that date, which means all of the processing would have to be completed before then.

And by the way, unless the council overrules the city manager's proposed budget, there will be only one opening. He has cut two additional sworn officers from the proposed budget. This puts us down four officers in three years!

Overtime is down big time too, but if you work nights it counteracts it somewhat.

Every other weekend off is a great concept too.

Never too late to turn in an application, but oral boards are done and over with.
