I am retiring after 29 yrs in law enforcement and was wondering if this agency has any civilian jobs available? Who is the contact person?

Do yourself a favor and either stay retired or go work at Wal-Mart if you need something to do. This place is a joke. You will soon be sick of the BS that is part of the day to day operation of this agency. It's only a few weeks after the election and his new term hasn't even started yet however they are not wasteing time in showing their true colors. Ever since Nugent took office the agency began a steady and ever quickening decline and now it seems it has been shifted into overdrive. Maybe he should take a look as to why some looser with an arrest record got over 26% of the vote.

A joke is an understatement.The stress they give you and the no job security does not help the ulcers.But again the ones causing the stress,which is the admin., apparently feel the same way as its shown in its downward spiral to us.

Hang in there boys and girls. The next administration won't be so bad.

Have to agree. Detectives want to go back to patrolmen, and their telling the public this. There are too many deputies who are openly violating the rules Nugent set, like smoking in public and patrol cars for one. Too many deputies hang out in bars, showing the public what they can and do get away with (drunk driving and affairs). Too many affairs going on, including one detective locking his girlfriend (if that's what you can call her) in the bathroom then having sex with another female. We can go on, and on, and on, and on about all the stuff happening.

Too corrupt of an agency, stay away. Nugent is spineless and very corrupt too. He listens to what his favorites tell him, and he doesn't care that it's his ass on the line, since he's the boss, not thiers.

And don't you just love these professionals telling people to move, or go to another agency because they don't agree with all the shenanigans? This board is great. It shows the world what really represents Hernando County, and HCSO. :cop:
