Funeral Services for Lieutenant Joe Martyna

Funeral Services for Lieutenant Joe Martyna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21st, 2008, at Christ the Rock Community Church, located at 11000 Stirling Road, Cooper City (954) 680-7779.

Please plan on arriving at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship with the family.

Burial will be immediately following the church service at Fred Hunter Cemetery, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood (800) 940-1550

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the FWC Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, c/o Florida Wildlife Foundation, Post Office Box 11010, Tallahassee, FL 32302.

Everyone in the law enforcement aviation community was shocked to hear of the death of Joe Martyna. He was liked by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. We lost a great man!

Joe was always upbeat and in a good mood. My best memory of Joe is meeting him one day at the Key West Airport. He was chatting with some dude named Jimmy.... Whom I later learned to be Jimmy Buffet!

Unfortunately I have prior commitments and will not be able to make the funeral.

RIP Joe and my condolences to his family and friends.
