Promotions

We all know that there are not going to be any promotions any time soon due to the current budget problems. If you were the sheriff and you could promote eight Sergeants and four Lieutenants who would you pick out of the deputies that are currently eligible. Try to keep it positive guys.

In an agency that doesn't require a recommendation from the supervisors how do you really think this is going to turn out if they do promote someone? It is just like before, a little seniority, good test taking ability, and zero for leadership or people skills. Bingo, you have a Sgt or Lt. Why would you ask a persons supervisor if they are qualified?
