Few Questions from a LEO with 2 years experience in FL

1) Im aware of your starting salaries, but how long is the step process. How many years would it take to make lets say 45k?

2) I know your assigned to whatever district they need people, most likely LEHIGH. How long must you be on the job for before you can trasnfer to another district, and can you ask to be transfered or no, your there for life?

3) I love and want to work nights. If you assigned to days, are you permitted to ever bid for or ask to switch to nights?

4) Are details readily availble? Where i work now people fight over details, adn there gone the minute their posted.

5) TRAINING. If i am a certified officer in florida with two years on the job and i transfer to lee county, do i go through a full FTO program, or how does that work?

6) Take home cars, is there a waiting period, the day your released on your own, or 3 years or???

and

7) Is lee county hiring or only for corrections?

thanks!

right now they are hiring mostly for corrections. Lee county don't have a step plan so it could take you five years to reach $45,000 a year.
