Your boy Ron Grimming suddenly wants to be our sheriff. I've heard that he tried to change the Florida Highway Patrol to be more ISP like and it didn't work. Is it true you can join the ISP and never work as a uniform state officer and yet work you way up the chain of command? Thanks for your info and be safe out there.

He did try to change FHP and sadly it didn't work. FHP is now a wreck and a joke of an LE agency. When you join the ISP you must start as a uniformed patrol officer.
