Unity Rally 2008

Come Join Together!!!

Who: North West Florida Police Benevolence Association

What: NWFPBA is inviting all current and retired Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers, as well as their families, friends, and neighbors to come together as one in support of our chosen Candidate for Sheriff of Escambia County. It doesn’t matter who you were supporting or if you were planning on sitting this election out. We will be making our official public endorsement at this event as well as an introduction/meet and greet of our candidate and need everyone’s support. You DO NOT need to be a PBA member to attend this rally. We want you to bring your family and friends. Invite everyone you know. We have a very large venue and would love to have it overflow.

When: Thursday, September 4th. Gathering starts at 6:30 PM.

Where: Springhill Suites Pensacola Beach

Banquet Hall

24 Via De Luna Pensacola Beach

How Much: Free!! This is in no way, shape, or form a fundraiser. FEC Laws forbid any money being raised at this event with the exception of the PBA giving a check publicly to the chosen candidate. Please under no circumstances bring checks, cash, etc. for any candidate to this rally. If you are so inclined, give your money the day before or day after so no allegations can be made. We will have plenty of opportunities for you to sign up as volunteers to help the chosen candidate.

Why: This election is critical. First, there are crucial differences between the Sheriff candidates. Secondly, it is a rare opportunity for us to all go into a general election together and unified on the same page and show our unity to the community.

What to Wear: We are professionals. We need to look our best. Business Dress is best. Business Casual is second best. If you don’t have either…well…please still come just don’t wear Crocs, Cutoffs and a Corona T-Shirt. It is important that you do not wear anything identifying you associated with your LEO agency. No uniforms, badges, take home cars etc.

Please come to this event. We know we all have very busy lives. We feel it’s critical to organize early and this will be a good gauge of what type of help we can expect. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any PBA Board Member or call the NWFPBA office during business hours at 505-9900 or visit http://www.nwfpba.org
