I am a certified LEO looking to get on with FWC. Are there any openings in Monroe County at the moment? How long is the hiring process for certified LEO's? Is it still necessary to travel to Tallahassee for steps in the hiring process? How is the physical agility, hard or not, and what are the schedules? I know it seems like a lot and all answers will be greatly appreciated.

If you want to work Monroe county then you shouldn't have one bit of trouble getting hired. The p.t. test depends on your age.I couldn't tell you about the schedual, I think it rotates every 28 days. Go to the website myfwc.com and get intouch with a local recruiter. they should answer all you qeustions.

As for the schedules, they have been going through lawsuits for over five years now. Command staff has a problem w/ making decisions even when their sleeping partners (current bargaining unit) still can't help them make a decision. Call your local recruiter and they can advise you further.
