Heads-up Gang

There have been several officer involved shootings in recent days around the state including here in the Park. Two Florida officers have lost their lives due to gunfire.

Financial times are tough in alot of families right now. With financial strain comes arguments, drinking, and thoughts of depression and suicide.

We need to make sure we are using good officer safety and backing each other up quickly.

Let's keep each other safe.

Is this an attempt at a worthwhile post? Finally...I am a little choked up. Be safe guys..We will be tested like never before over the next few years.

It was a sincere post. We have been tested already this past month with serious injuries to a friend, co-workers who were forced to do what we all hope we never have to, and another group of co-workers that despite their best efforts, realized we can't always control the situations we are faced with. Add to that the near constant stream of fatality crashes that force us to deal with our human emotions and lead us to go home and hug our loved ones and to tell them we love them.

This is a time to come together, keep each other safe, and show our community, our leadership, and city officials that we are professional and worth every penny they spend on us and frankly, much much more.

We all have our issues with various co-workers. It is times like these that we should realize that these differences are petty family bickering and that when it comes down to it, we will protect each other. That protection needs to extend to empathy as T.K. pointed out on another post.

Stay safe, and dont' forget our family out on disability, worker's comp, and admin leave. Give them a call, listen to them, be a friend.
