Fort Myers Officer Shot and Killed

A Forty Myers Officer was shot and killed during a domestic disturbance in downtown Fort Myers around 2:00 AM. Other officers shot and killed the suspect.

The officer who has not been identified leaves behind a wife and 3 young children.

My condolences and prayers go out to this officers family, friends, and his bothers in sisters in uniform of every color.

Here is the story about the fallen officer, Officer Andrew Widman, 30. No matter where you are in the nation as an officer of whatever agency, pause and say a prayer or have good thought for a fallen brother and his family. May peace come to all of us either at the end of our tour in retirement or in death while fighting the good fight!

We as Agents should be especially mind full about the Fort Myers Officers who got shot. He was working downtown Fort Myers near and around the clubs, walked up to a domestic disturbance and was shot in the face after a short pursuit.
We might not answer calls and do traffic stops, however we still have a dangerous job.
